Play allows children to learn important life skills such as turn-taking, sharing, caring, communication, mathematics and physical skills. Our aim is to ensure that children gain these skills in all of the activities we provide.

Learning Through Play

Children are inquisitive learners, so they are encouraged to add equipment and resources to their play to create extended learning opportunities. Play has become more natural so children are less distracted by colour. We have developed opportunities for more outside/inside play.

Our main ‘play’ focus is to follow children’s current interests and develop these in a variety of ways. The Early Years Foundation Stage runs alongside our play ensuring that all children are developing the skills needed before going to school.
